Breathing – Quite Important!
Yoga again today! I started yoga about 20 years ago when still in Liverpool. I’ll never forget my first yoga workshop – it was in basement at the Roman Catholic Cathedral, called the crypt. It was a bit like a dungeon, but a very beautiful one, with all the brickwork and alcoves… Plus the yoga was fantastic – I fell in love immediately.
Yoga in Kuwait has been an on-off experience – I started teaching classes myslf initially because there were so few teachers around, and the ones who were here were teaching through hotels, and very expensive. And then I found Art of Living.

I love doing yoga with Art of Living. I started with them about 5 years ago, when they advertised a ‘mega course’. And boy was it mega! Over 90 people – mostly indian, in a school hall. It was an intensive 20 hour course – every evening for a week. I’ve done that course 7 times over the last few years, as well as their next course, which is breathing, and the Advanced course, which was meditation. And every week they have a follow up session. Only about 20 people come for the yoga, but the breathing follow-up afterwards is always packed, with upwards of 60 people. It’s great!
Thank you to all my friends at Art of Living!!
